I'm launching a blog to share updates. I've named it "The Unexpected Journey" because I'm at a surprising stage in my life. After dedicating years to education and career building, raising children, and caring for elderly parents, I now find myself an empty nester, no longer responsible for aging parents, and facing a breast cancer diagnosis.


I had an abnormal mammogram which led to diagnostic exam and finally a biopsy to determine the next steps. That’s what I am doing now….. waiting
