I hope I am getting this part right. The cancer is HR positive which means receptive to hormone therapy. It is HER2 negative. What that means is that it is slow growing and non aggressive though it is invasive. I forgot to mention that both Drs today told me that I have every bit of hope of being cancer free at the end of this though it is a journey to get through.


A question I am getting is the type of surgery. It is not a mastectomy. It is to remove the tumor which is less than an inch big. So it is quite small. They will remove the tumors along with some healthy tissue to ensure they get any cells that are infected. They will check that they have clear margins and take more if necesssry.
