Back from London, Ready to make a plan

I’m back from London. Trip was amazing. We spent a few days in Paris. Two key moments for me, Notre Dame in Paris and arriving just as mass was starting. Celebrated mass, bought a new rosary and enjoyed the beautiful church. Second was being back at Parliament. Loved my time abroad.

Now I’m back. This week appointments hopefully clarity. Well the appointments happened and some clarity but timing is still not known. I met with two surgeons and need to decide which way to go.

Both will do surgery in the next couple of weeks. Both assess the tumor the same. The one surgeon is 5 mins from home and so is the radiologist and oncologist. That said, they are all doctors within a larger general practice. The other surgeon is specifically within an oncology group that focuses on breast cancer. Not sure. Will need to decide tomorrow. For both they said this is most likely surgery and radiation unless they learn something unexpected in the surgery. It does not appear to have migrated to blood or lymph nodes. But they will confirm at surgery.

Surgery is likely to be the week of April 9th at this point. I will need to meet with physical therapy and my PCP for a clearance to have surgery. Then surgery is scheduled. Then I recover for a month and start 4 weeks of radiation.

That’s all I know as of today.
