I was hoping to have surgery in a few weeks when my son was home for Spring Recess, but was told today in strongest terms that I needed to get this done now so I am having surgery next Friday, March 28th on my Birthday. Mathew will be here to take care of his mom for the weekend. Dr. said recovery should be fairly quick. Prior to the surgery I need a pre-op physical, meet with physical therapy and radiology. They will install a small magnetic guide in the tissue by the tumor to guide the surgery. They will also install blue radioactive dye to trace the path for the lymph nodes to check those over. The best news coming out of the surgery would be to confirm the diagnosis that it hasn't gone anywhere and that the margins around the tissue that they take out are clear. It's going to be a busy week next week. I am also trying to finish up a few things for work. Today my anxiety is back up as we move forward, it seems like things are moving fast.
